Skullgirls Headed To PC, Pre-Order For Beta Access

Skullgirls has a release date on PC. The game will be available for PC on August 22nd, and pre-orders will begin on August 1st. The PC version of Skullgirls will be available via GameFly, GamersGate, GameStop PC Downloads, Origin, and Steam. Online multiplayer will use GGPO and Steamworks, while a new “All Play” feature will allow for multiple fights within a single lobby. Steam trading cards will be supported as well, and the game will include a spectator mode.

Pre-ordering Skullgirls on PC will get you the Character Color Pack, featuring 5 new color palettes for each of the game’s eight core characters as well as beta access. Being able to access and play the beta will allow you to give feedback on each of the game’s upcoming DLC characters as they go into development. On that note, yes, the five DLC characters funded via Skullgirls’ crowdfunding campaign earlier in the year are still going to be free. Each character will be available for free for three months after their release. Following this, each one will cost $5 to download.
