Most tokusatsu series feature Japanese superheroes in
brightly colored outfits duking it out for dominance of your sunny
weekend mornings. Garo—which originally aired for 25 episodes
on TV Tokyo from 2005-2006—was different. Decidedly more "adult," the
late-night series. The franchise is rolling on with a slate of new
projects including an anime spin-off.
Zero: Black Blood starring the Silver Fanged Knight (Ray Fujita) will run for six episodes starting in March 2014.
TV series Garo: Makai No Hana, featuring Raiga; the son of Kouga, the original Golden Knight, is slated for April.
