Puella Magi Madoka Magica Films to Premiere This Fall

 

At the stage event for Puella Magi Madoka Magica held earlier today at Anime Contents Expo 2012, the first details of the previously announced three films for the series were revealed. The first two films, recompilations of the events of the TV series, will premiere this fall.

Yoshinori Ono, that always-smiling, endlessly positive Capcom producer, is taking a break from the world of fighting games. Because of health concerns related to overwork, Ono will be temporarily stepping down from his position as producer of the Street Fighter series.

Bandai Plans Chogokin Reproduction of One Piece's Going Merry

 

 Chogokin, or "super alloy," is the stuff that original piloted mecha Mazinger Z was made of. In the '70s, it was taken as the brand name for a line of diecast robot toys, and evolved from there into a name for premium quality toys. In June, Bandai will be releasing its Chogokin reproduction of Going Merry, the pirate ship from One Piece. The impressive piece will be selling for 13,440 yen (about $163).

Crayon Shin Chan x Kamen Rider Fourze Crossover Announced

 

 To promote the release of Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen and Crayon Shin-chan: The Storm Called: Me and the Space Princess, it was announced that a crossover between the Crayon Shin-chan anime and Kamen Rider Fourze!

This collaboration also celebrates Crayon Shin-chan’s 20th Anniversary as well as the 40th Anniversary of Kamen Rider. This isn't the first time Kamen Rider and Crayon Shin-chan had a crossover, the first was with "Crayon Shin-chan Midsummer Night: Here I Come! The Storm is Called Den-O vs. Shin-O 60 Minute Special!!" that aired last August 3, 2007.

The story will cross two episodes of each show and will revolve around the heroes working together to save Princess Himawari of the planet Himawari. The Crayon Shin-chan episodes will air on April 13th and 27th, and the Kamen Rider episodes will air April 15th and 29th.

"Combine! Go-BusterOh!". This episode marks the first formation of the Go-Busters' main mecha, the Go-BusterOh that combines CB-01, BT-02 and RH-03!

The Go-Busters practice, over and over again, the combining sequence for Go-BusterOh. No matter how many times they practice, however, they don't seem to be getting any better at it.

They can only "merely unite", and while that's all well and good, combining when under enemy attack is another matter completely. Enter sends the Sprayloid to obtain an Enetron tank.

 Studio Nue co-founder Haruka Takachiho reported on Wednesday that Noboru Ishiguro, the veteran director of such works as Space Battleship Yamato, the first color Astro Boy anime series (1980), The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes, has passed away. He was 73.
