ThreeA designer Ashley Wood announced back in February
that the company had acquired the licence to produce figures based on
the iconic Marvel Comics universe, but we've been kept waiting to see
what the company's first design would be. Wait no longer, however, as
the first piece has been unveiled over on the ThreeA blog, and it's Iron
Man!
ThreeA clearly opted to shun faithfulness to the comic design and
instead go for their own interpretation here, and in my eyes, it's paid
off handsomely. The long, leggy yet bulky look is incredibly striking
and unique, yet also instantly recognisable as Iron Man. This single
image is all the information we've got so far, and yet I'd imagine
that's more than enough to get collectors salivating. Hopefully we'll
get some more details and some colour shots before too long
