Masa Ozaki, producer on Tiger & Bunny, jumped on Twitter to shed a little light on how the cast of the Tiger & Bunny The Live stage
production is being decided. "The main cast is pretty much set," Ozaki
said. It sounds like they're going for the closest matches possible, not
only in appearance and acting, but in tone and atmosphere, as well.
While they considered using the original anime cast, they
opted instead to hold auditions in an effort to make the stage version
as entertaining as possible as an action spectacle. Non-native Japanese
actors auditioned for the play, too, but people with Japanese skills
were preferred since they can't exactly use subtitles in a live
production.
Casting and performance details for Tiger & Bunny The Live will be announced in May.
