Power Rangers Megaforce Filming Roundup



The first week of filming for Power Rangers Megaforce has just finished and Samuraicast have kindly collated all the news that has come from it. As well as cast images, it includes some info about what we can possibly expect from the latest Power Rangers series!

 
  First up comes the news of a high-school setting being the primary location for Megaforce. The school set to be used, which is Mount Albert Grammar School in New Zealand.


 Secondly, Ciara Hanna (Yellow Megaforce ranger) tweeted that she met a special guest on set. Could veteran rangers be appearing early in the series before the switch to Super Megaforce?

BLOOD-C The Last Dark Movie Web Trailer

 

The movie was earlier announced during the final episode of the anime series BLOOD-C, and the story will take place in Tokyo one year after the television series. Folks who are not residing in Japan will still get a chance to watch the movie, because it will be streamed with English subtitles via NicoNico Douga after it is released in theatres.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Films to Premiere This Fall

 

At the stage event for Puella Magi Madoka Magica held earlier today at Anime Contents Expo 2012, the first details of the previously announced three films for the series were revealed. The first two films, recompilations of the events of the TV series, will premiere this fall.

Live-Action "Himitsu no Akko-chan" Poster Film Revealed

An updated, live-action version of Fujio Akatsuka's magical girl manga Himitsu no Akko-chan (Secret Akko) is coming to Japanese theaters September 1st and the poster was revealed today. Haruka Ayase (Cyborg She, The Magic Hour) plays 5th grader Akko, who can open her magical compact, say "tekumakumayakon," and transform into her 22-year-old self. Masaki Okada (Gravity Clown, Confessions) co-stars at her elite salaryman love interest. 

 

There were three anime adaptations of Himitsu no Akko-chan: 1969, 1988, and 1998, including some theatrical animation. The original manga was serialized in Ribbon from 1962.

Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning

 
 The April issue of Tokuma Shoten's Animagemagazine revealed on Saturday that the first Tiger & Bunny film, Gekijō-ban Tiger & Bunny -The Beginning- (pictured right), will have story elements similar in outline to those in the television series.
