Koichi Sakamoto to direct Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger

So a few months back, Toei has decided to trademark the name for the next Sentai series, which will be going by the name of Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. If you notice the similar terminology, then it's rather obvious that we are going to get a new dinosaur themed Sentai show. Though personally, the real deal maker is that Koichi Sakamoto is going to direct the new series. By awakening his Dino Guts, we can also expect Riko Sanjo (Kamen Rider W) to become the writer for the third dino-packed Sentai show.

If Sakamoto's direction helped make Fourze become such a blast, then his experience with Power Rangers will make Kyoryuger into a fun show. Since it's airing during the 20th anniversary of Power Rangers, I would not be surprised to see some sort of reference, since Sakamoto threw in random Power Rangers shout outs in a few of episodes Gokaiger.

Based on the name, I could see the next series taking aspects of Gekiranger, and mixing them with Zyuranger or Abaranger. The beast aspect could also setup for an evolution theme, which could be a nice new take on the dinosaur theme. All in all, the whole thing sounds dope.
With the month of December around the corner, there's a possibility that more information on Kyoryuger will surface. And just from the director and writer alone, my excitement makes me want to go out and have some curry -- if only they made Dino Curry into an actual restaurant.
