Sony to Release 3939 Hatsune Miku Walkman

 

In conjunction with the fifth birthday of our favorite virtual idol Hatsune Miku, Sony will be released limited edition Hatsune Miku Walkman S.

These exclusive model will feature Hatsune Miku etched onto the back of the walkman and a special wallpaper. In addition, Hatsune Miku song “Hoshi no Kakera” would also be pre-installed on these models. 

Date with Hatsune Miku in Augmented Reality Environment

 

 Have you ever dreamed of dating with your favorite anime/manga character who lives in a two-dimensional world? Now the newest Augmented Reality (AR) tool makes it real. A Japanese engineer named Alcyone posted a video to show how he dates with Hatsune Miku with his own AR glasses on Nico Nico Douga and YouTube yesterday.

Hatsune Miku 5th Anniversary Vocaloid Short Film Contest Announced

 

 The 7th Sapporo International Short Film Festival will be held on September 12-17 in Sapporo-city, Hokkaido. Sapporo is also known as the hometown of the most popular Vocaloid character Hatsune Miku, because Crypton Future Media, the company who created Miku, based in the city. To celebrate her fifth anniversary, the festival will hold a short film contest featuring Vocaloids named "CGM Award presented by SAPPORO Short Fest". "CGM" stands for "Consumer Generated Media". Of course they welcome film creators from all over the world! Please check the guideline if you are interested.

Hatsune Miku, the symbol of CGM, is celebrating her 5th anniversary soon so we hold "CGM Award

and films are previewed by the selection committee and some works will be chosen for an official
Hatsune Miku programme of SAPPORO Short Fest 2012. Those videos and films will be screened
at the main theater and a winner of the CGM Grand Prix and two winners of CGM awards will be selected.

Limited Edition Hatsune Miku PS Vita in Gorgeous White

 

 This is one gorgeous PlayStation Vita and it will be released as the limited edition bundle for the upcoming Hatsune Miku rhythm game “NEXT HATSUNE MIKU Project DIVA” will be released by Sega for the PlayStation Vita on 30 Aug 2012.

 

 The 3G bundle will be retailed for 39,9890 yen and the Wifi version will retail for 34,980 yen. Apart from the game and the limited edition PS Vita, the bundle will also include a 4GB memory card, original protective film, and original design AR cards.

When last we checked artist K-Suwabe's heavy metal-inspired Vocaloid remixes, there was Hagane Miku (a pun on Hatsune Miku's name and the Japanese word for steel), Metalne Luca Turilli, and Kagamine Rin.

Coca-Cola Hatsune Miku Illustration Contest Winners Announced

 

 

Crypton Future Media's website Piapro announced the winners of the costume design contest for their Vocaloid character Hatsune Miku in the image of Coca-Cola yesterday. The first winner's image will be used for posters and other materials of the Coca-Cola campaign that will start in the middle of June at the Sega's amusement arcades.

Official Chinese Vocaloid Characters Images Revealed

 

 Following the illustration contest in January, VOCALOID CHINA, the official Vocaloid site in China, finally revealed the official images for their five Vocaloid characters on March 22. The images are refined by their official artist ideolo based on the TOP 5 winners' illustrations. 

TM Network's Tetsuya Komuro To Collaborate with Hatsune Miku

 

 Producer and musician Tetsuya Komuro (known for both TM Network and Globe) had been putting off music because his wife KEIKO was sick, but now that she's on the mend, he's releasing everything he's got.
