A group of students at Osaka University of Arts had been filming
tokusatsu short films featuring their original hero named Saberlcon. As
their graduation work, they produced a 4-minute trailer for Tatakae!! Saberlcon 3 (Fight!! Saberlcon 3)
later last year. Their efforts were rewarded, it was selected as one of
the second best graduation works at the university. And it was also
screened at the Kyoto Kaiju Film Festival Night 3 event along with the
classic kaiju films such as The War of the Gargantuas (1966), The Return of Daimajin (1966), and Gamera 2: Attack of Legion (1966) on December 28, 2013.
The highly appreciated short clip is now available on YouTube. According to recent comments on their official twitter,
they created only the trailer to show their skills and there is no plan
to produce the whole film at the moment. Considering the high budget
and time required to produce a tokusatsu feature film, it is very
understandable.
