Some big names in the field have contributed to the two newly released volumes of Magazine House's Hometown Manga series. Lupin III creator Monkey Punch and Fullmetal Alchemist's Hiromu Arakawa are among the manga artists who write about growing up in Hokkaido prefecture, while Captain Harlock creator Leiji Matsumoto headlines the Fukuoka collection.
Arakawa previously wrote about growing up on a Hokkaido farm in Hyakushō Kizoku (Noble Farmer).
