Just as fans enjoy the end of “Phase One” of the Marvel cinematic universe with The Avengers releasing on home video last month, the marketing campaign is kicking up for Phase Two. Yesterday, the first few seconds of official Iron Man 3 footage released to tease tomorrow’s unveiling of the full-length Iron Man 3 trailer. And today, a series of new stills from the film help fill in the gap.
There are six new [Update: 7 + a poster] shots in
total, including the first officially released image of War Machine’s
new Iron Patriot-themed armor design, built by the air force.
Two of the stills come from the official Australia/New Zealand Facebook page for The Avengers and the other four come exclusively from USA Today.
As we can see from the stills and from yesterday’s trailer preview,
Pepper Potts is playing a very important role in the Stark-centric solo
affair.
