Gamers and DC fans alike looking to get their Justice League fix needn’t look any further than NetherRealm Studios‘ Injustice: Gods Among Us, a brutal brawler featuring heroes and villains from the DC universe. All the expected characters, with a few exceptions, are slated to make an appearance, from Superman to Catwoman.
However there’s a new pre-order bonus from GameStop
that promises to take a select few of these familiar faces and bring
some slightly obscure touches to their design, namely their costumes.
More specifically, there is a character skins pack that has ties to the
‘Red Son’ storyline and will provide new costumes for Superman, Wonder
Woman, and Solomon Grundy.

These are merely character skins, they do not fundamentally
change the move sets of Superman, Wonder Woman, or Solomon Grundy. What
the pre-order DLC does offer, however, is an additional 20 missions
that follow the ‘Red Son’ storyline as written by acclaimed comic book
scribe Mark Millar.
In the three-issue arc, Millar envisions a world where Kal-El, the
last son of Krypton, lands in Soviet Russia not rural Kansas, and is
raised to fight for Socialism and Stalin. Instead of a big red ‘S’ on
his chest, he bares a hammer and sickle. And most evidently his colors
are red and black, not red and blue.
Injustice: Gods Among Us releases April 16, 2013 for the PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360.
