Blacklight: Retribution and Primal Carnage: Genesis
are coming to PlayStation 4, Sony has announced at its Game Developers
Conference independent games event, PlayStation Indie Game Arcade.
A sequel to Blacklight: Tango Down, which launched on PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and PC in 2010, Blacklight: Retribution
is a futuristic free-to-play first-person shooter with over one million
players on PC. Developer Zombie Studios aims to bring “a new
experience” and “further evolution” of the shooter to PlayStation 4.
And different from last year’s Primal Carnage on PC, which was a class-based multiplayer game, Primal Carnage: Genesis
on PlayStation 4 is an Unreal Engine 4-powered, “story driven, episodic
single player adventure” set in a world where dinosaurs have been
brought back to life. Developer Lukewarm Media “aims to resurrect the
immersive dinosaur first-person experience that people have been waiting
for.”
Sony has said it recently “enhanced” the services available to
third-party publishers and developers with a new “streamlined and
faster” Global Product Proposal process for submitting games, which
means Sony “can offer more resources and support to publishers and
developers than ever before.”
