PS4 Launching in Singapore and Selected SEA Regions in December 2013

At today’s Tokyo Game Show press conference, Sony confirmed that they would be launching the PlayStation 4 in selected South-East Asian countries including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan and Korea from Dec 2013 onwards.

How Pokémon X And Pokémon Y Were Inspired By France

 

 GameKyo reports a new Pokémon that was recently revealed during a Japan Expo exclusive video presentation, where Pokémon X and Pokémon Y director Junichi Masuda talked a bit about the upcoming game. Masuda also shared the ideas behind the French motif of the sixth generation’s main region, Kalos.

The new sword-like Pokémon is named Monorparle in French, and Hitotsuki in Japanese, according to the director. Around the 3:52 mark of the video, we get a look  at the Steel and Ghost type Pokémon that is said to be an ancient soul that presents itself in the form of a sword.

New Pokemon X and Y Footage Shows off New Creatures

 

Remember that panda, bird, goat, and...dog thing from Pokemon X and Y that were revealed last weekend from CoroCoro magazine? Those creatures are known as Panchum (fighting), Fletchling (normal/flying), Gogoat (grass), and Helioptile (normal/electric), and now, compliments of the official Pokemon YouTube channel, we have footage of them all in-game.

Gamers fond of the beloved Pokemon franchise have been bursting at the seams in anticipation of the upcoming pair of Pocket Monster titles. Yes, fans of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y are understandably excited for the eventual release of both games later this year, but there hasn’t been much new information released on the games at all.

Fortunately, trainers learned yesterday that news on the games were scheduled to hit very soon, but no one thought that scans from Japanese gaming magazine CoroCoro, containing new details on Pokemon X and Y, would emerge in such a short time span.

Pokemon 2013 Spring Regional Championship About To Begin!

The Pokémon 2013 Spring Regional Championships events are set to feature some of the best competitive play of the year! And, not only will Pokémon TCG and video game players be competing for Travel Awards to the Pokémon National Championships in Indianapolis this summer, but lots of other Pokémon-themed prizes will be on the line as well!

The Spring Regional Championships will take place in five locations—four in the United States and one in British Columbia, Canada—starting on Saturday, April 13th. Space is limited, so try to arrive early to register! The initial rounds of the Pokémon video game event take place on Sunday, April 14th, giving many players the opportunity to show off their Pokémon skills in both events.

Nintendo Wii U Will Be Disappointingly Region Locked

 

Nintendo has always maintained its region lock policy for most of its console, hence its no surprise that their new upcoming console – the Nintendo Wii U will be region locked as well.

Its always a disappointment when Nintendo choose to region lock their consoles, unlike Sony and Microsoft. My personal thought was that it would affect sales since its proves a hassle for gamers residing outside Japan but whom would like to play Japanese version of the game.
