Cardfight!! Vanguard, the aptly titled card game/card game battle anime, is getting a live-action drama this spring.
The special directed by Takashi Motoki (Mousou Deka) airs May 3rd (a Thursday, but a holiday). Playing Aichi is musician/actor Daigo (from the band Breakerz, also starring in the upcoming Ultraman Saga movie with members of AKB48).
Daigo has previously been in commercials for the card game, as well as on VangaRoad, a variety/info TV program about it. His band's song (featuring his vocals) "Climber x Climber" is often used:
