GACKT Headlines Live-Action Sengoku Basara TV Series

Sengoku Basara, Capcom's crowd brawling game that offered a superheroic interpretation of the climactic conflicts of Japan's Era of Warring States (the latter part of the 16th century) is coming to Japanese TV this summer in the live-action Sengoku Basara: Moonlight Party.
Infamous visual-kei star/actor GACKT will play the role of infamous near-national unifying warlord "Devil King" Oda Nobunaga.

GACKT will also be performing the series' end theme.

Hayashi Kento (the live-action Arakawa Under the Bridge movie) has been cast as heroic warlord Date Masamune (the visual inspiration for Darth Vader), while his rival Sanada Yukimura will be played by Takeda Kouhei (Kamen Rider Kiva). The late night, 25-minute show starts on July 12.

FUNimation released Production I.G's anime adaptation of the games, while Udon will be releasing the manga in North America.
