Nintendo is doling out one heck of an incentive to those
who wish to lay claim on the throne and become the very best, like no
one ever was at the 2012 Pokémon World Championships. They'll be
selecting some of the top players who advance to Hawaii and offering
them and their Pokémon teams as downloadable challenges via Nintendo
Wi-Fi Connection, where players around the world will be able to take
them on.
36 American trading card and video game players will be
heading to Hawaii in August to take on the world, putting them among
those in the running to be distributed in copies of Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2.
Folks who download the chosen players will be able to test their might
against them and the Pokémon they trained in the Pokémon World
Tournament. Player distribution details will be announced later this
fall.
A list of both TCG and video game finalists can be found in Nintendo's press release.
Pokémon Black/White 2 will be released for Nintendo DS in North America on October 7.
